Recognized for producing top-quality red wines, Quinta da Gaivosa, a project signed by the Alves de Sousa family, has turned its attention in recent years to the potential of the Douro in producing white wines. Currently, it has two references, both a true portrait of the property's excellent terroir, located in the sub-region of Baixo Corgo. The 8-month aging with a touch of wood (30% in 3rd year French oak barrels) has given it a good mouthfeel while maintaining the freshness and minerality required of a great white.
