Born in the old vineyards of the Aragonêz, Trincadeira, Castelão, and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties, the grapes for this wine are hand-harvested and selected, foot-trodden, fermenting in the open stone lagares of the cellar, precisely the same methods used for over a hundred years at Herdade do Mouchão and that make Dom Rafael one of the most famous reds in the region.
