Late Bottled Vintage wines are high-quality Port wines, originating from a single harvest indicated on the label. Bottled between the fourth and sixth year after the harvest, Porto L.B.V, unlike Vintage, benefits from considerable aging in oak casks, which provides a smoother palate, ideal for consumption while young. The Royal Oporto LBV encompasses the classic style of Ports from the Real Companhia Velha. The grapes come from 2 Estates of the Company: the old vines of Quinta das Carvalhas provide structure and complexity, while the Touriga Nacional from Quinta de Cidrô adds a lot of elegance to the blend.
